About the Artist

Sheena Catherina Ilustre is a self-taught artist from Los Angeles, California. Her paintings range from cityscapes, landscapes, and portraits. Her primary medium is oil and acrylic, but not restricted to watercolors, pastels, ink and charcoal. Her curiosity and willingness to try any medium is present in her work, where bold brush strokes and an abundance of color can be found. She uses her two beloved cats as muses and if not painting at the studio in her spare time, she can be found at a coffee shop couch reading a book, or at dance.

You might find her painting near the river with a snack in hand, or perched on the back of her red convertible drawing away on her sketchbook. In her mind, the world is a playground and every day a chance to live a creative life.
